Inguinal hernia repair with exploratory laparotomy
Tele Monitoring: to monitor pt’s heart rhythm
Occupational therapy: To help complete lower body dressing and grooming.
Physical Therapy: To assist pt with ambulating, sitting, and standing.
Medications:
Hydromorphone plus premixed PCA sodium chloride 0.9%: Receiving for post-operative pain
Naloxone (Narcan): For respiratory rate equal to or less than 8
Heparin: Pt had an episode of atrial fibrillation. Pt is receiving heparin to prevent the formation of blood clots in the heart, which can lead to stroke and also because the patient has had surgery and been in bed for a long time.
Potassium Chloride: Receiving for low potassium level
Ondansetron (Zofran): Receiving it for nausea and vomiting.
Metoprolol: To control HTN
Benadryl: For itching.
