For your assignment you will need to choose one of the three main Sociological Perspectives (Structural Functionalist, Social Conflict Theory, and Symbolic Interactionist) as well as one the main theorists (Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, Karl Marx, and Talcott Parsons). You may also choose another sociological theorist.
Once you have chosen your particular theory and theorist you will need to do some research into both. I would like additional information that is not listed in the lecture notes or the textbook. This is you chance to add to your knowledge of the information and provide you with a foundation for the rest of the class.
1 page of text minimum per topic (meaning 1 page for theorist and 1 page for the theory), no maximum. The only information I need is your name in the top left corner. One full page of text refers to the equivalent of 1 page of text in Word with default formats which should equal 700 words per page.
