Imagine you work in the IT department of a financial services company that sells investments to, and manages investment portfolios for, high net worth individuals. Your organization uses custom-built legacy software applications and systems to support its sales processes. The sales software applications and systems are not integrated, and they do not support an enterprise view of the sales processes throughout the organization. Management is frustrated because the sales applications and systems do not provide the information and reports necessary for them to measure, monitor, and manage sales production in the organization. Sales executives and account managers are frustrated because the sales software applications and systems do not support the sales cycle for the products and services that the organization sells.
You have been assigned to analyze your organizations sales processes and identify an IT system capable of improving the sales processes of your organization. In addition, your organization is looking for an easy-to-use, cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution to generate more leads, increase sales, improve customer service, reduce the cost of sales for the organization, and increase revenue.
For this assignment, complete the following:
Produce a project implementation plan that presents a schedule of all tasks that would need to be completed to begin your project. Review the Project Implementation Plan Example and develop a plan for your project based on the example.
Using the Post-Mortem template, conduct a postmortem of your work to this point in the course. The goal of the postmortem is to identify 5 specific approaches that worked well for you during this project and 5 approaches you plan to improve the next time you are involved with a projects implementation.
Review and update the project deliverables from your assignments in Week 1 Week 4 based on your completed postmortem and instructor feedback. Ensure that they represent the best work you are capable of.
Submit your (1) project implementation plan, (2) postmortem, and (3) all your updated project documents (Week 1, Wk3 and Week 4 ‘Apply’ assignments).
Your instructors preference is to receive 1 document that includes all deliverables. For instance, you can copy and paste from each document into one document and then submit one document with all the deliverables for your final assignment. Typically, this is the way that many organizations prepare and present project deliverables in the real world. However, it’s acceptable for students to submit each of the assignment deliverables documents, separately. No points will be deducted if students submit the assignment deliverables as separate documents.
