Flood Plain/ Highway Plans Exercise
1. Go to Kentucky Transportation webpage and locate a property of interest shown on state highway right-of-way plans. Copy the cover plan sheet, plan sheet of property of interest and determine the longitude and latitude of the property location. What is the name of the plans, parcel number owner and station reference of the property.
2. Go to the FEMA webpage and locate a property of interest and determine what flood zone the property is in. Copy the flood map(firmette) and determine the BFE of the subject property if available.
