Procedure
Step 1
A range of academic sources will be provided for you on the three (3) business industries
(Food
& Beverages, the Health Industry and AI)
that are covered in the Semester 1 curriculum for
EAP105. You will have to decide and choose an industry for your business proposition from these
three (3)
industry options
ONLY. You are not allowed to choose a different industry.
In
addition, you may choose to use the sources provided to you or you may search for sources you
wish to use in your WCW yourself. You are expected to use
at least four (4) academic
sources from a minimum total of six (6) sources
.
Step 2
Once you have chosen an industry and academic sources, you will have to draft and submit a
first draft of your business proposition. The first draft of your business proposition should contain
background information and an outline of the business proposition in your chosen industry, and
should be submitted to your lecturer for approval by the given deadline. You should include a
review of the business background outlining the current situation and issue which led you to
your business proposition
in the introduction of your business proposition. Your lecturer will
confirm whether your business proposition is acceptable so that you may proceed to the next
stage of writing regarding your WCW. The deadline for submission of the first draft is
0
9am on
Friday, 20 October 2023
(Week 5)
.

Step 3
You will then choose a business analysis model that you want to apply in the analysis of your
business proposition. After doing so, evaluate your business proposition using the chosen
business analysis model. In your evaluation, you should identify issues with your current
business proposition, find solutions to the issues, refine your business proposition, and make
recommendations.
Marking and feedback
You will be required to submit your
First Draft
by
09am on Monday, 20 October
2023 (Week 5)
. Your lecturer will provide general comments and feedback on your
First Draft in Week 7.
You will then be required to submit a complete version of your business proposition (
Second Draft)
by
0
9am on Monday, 13 November 2023 (Week 9)
. Individual
tutorials will be held and feedback will be provided by your lecturers in
Week 10
.
The
Final Draft
must
be submitted by
0
9am on Friday, 1
st
December 2023
(Week 11).
It will be assessed based on a WCW Marking Descriptor similar to the one
contained at the end of this tasksheet.

the Core Task Requirements that you must meet.
