Workplace Integrated Learning Assignment Information
Due: 17 September 2023, 11:59 pm AEST- 20% of total marks.
Word limit: 500
Key Information
In this assignment you will need to summarise the key content of the Workplace Integrated Learning
(WIL) guest lectures delivered by the invited speakers. In doing so, you will highlight the underlying
economic theories, models the WIL guest lectures relate to. You will also discuss the microeconomic
or macroeconomic issues and policy concerns addressed, as apparent by the guest speakers’
narratives. Additionally, in view of your own work experience, you will need to discuss any approach
adopted to solve an economic problem at your workplace, for the relevant industry or for the
macroeconomy. You are also expected to discuss how your learning experiences from the WIL
lectures helped you gain additional insights to address economic policy concerns confronted at your
workplace. If you have never been employed, you may discuss how you would like to use your WIL
experiences in this unit at the place of your intended professional affiliation.
This assignment has a limit of 500 words. Given the word limit, you should ensure that the contents
of your assignment remain succinct and informative. References, tables, graphs and appendices, if
used are not included in the word count. There is no need to include an abstract. You may use
standard format of an essay with optional title. Use Harvard style for referencing. A guideline for
Harvard referencing is provided in canvas and inside the resources folder in modules.
Submission
Submit your WIL assignment in the designated submission folder inside canvas. To ensure that
marking remains anonymous, you need to only include your student ID (SID) in your submissions.
SID can appear at the top of the document, in headers or footers, and in the file name. No simple
extension is available for this assignment unless approved by the faculty and the university system.
In other cases you need to obtain prior approval from the unit coordinator with supporting evidence
of extenuating circumstances.
