Objectives: This project is aimed to develop a new online learning platform for self-learners to acquire quantitative methods with civil engineering applications. This platform includes online lectures and videos. The platform allows learners to conduct online exercises that are related to the lecture contents. An online assessment system is developed for learners to assess their performance. Methodology: 1. To review some of the current e-learning systems related to engineering education 2. To develop a set of learning materials in form of edX (or other LMS) e-learning modules with animations or / and videos which encourage students to learn about quantitative methods with civil engineering applications 3. To develop online exercises and assessments/ quizzes for learners to assess their performance 4. To collect the learners’ view on the new e-learning platform in the form of online questionnaire or / and interview for evaluation
