Research is underpinned by sound academic skills such as correctly searching for appropriate information and developing the art of reading this information in a critical manner. Once this skill is acquired you can then construct a piece of academic writing supported with references that demonstrates your knowledge and understanding of a topic area.
This module will develop your appreciation of the research process whilst also fostering the essential academic skills necessary to become an inquiring healthcare professional of the future. Full information will be in the Module Guide
The Learning outcomes for this module are:
1 Identify the varied sources of knowledge and evidence that informs healthcare disciplines.
2 Plan and undertake a specific research activity, drawing on a critically reflective appreciation of research theory, knowledge and other forms of evidence.
3 Demonstrate the ability to use databases to support your study
