To the parents of Taylor Leo,
Taylor Leo has been struggling in class lately, it has been hard to concentrate on assignments. It has been a struggle for him to participate in class in groups. He gets upset and does not get along with his classmates if he cannot figure something out. I have also seen him almost get physical with a student because they said something that he did not like. Taylor was sent to the office and was able to speak to his counselor about the incident. Taylor told his counselor that he has been getting bullied because his father is in jail, and it has been taking a toll on him. She spoke to him about it and gave him tips on channeling and managing his emotions. The counselor also reached out to me, and the principal and we would like to set up a meeting with you to talk about what has been going on and solutions that may help him cope with the situation. I wanted to also mention that they have assistance at school and other programs like Big Brother, and different mentor services and counselors to assist if needed. Taylor did say he has a friend who has been nice to him, and he can talk to also stick up for him when the other kids would make fun of him. We are here to help in any way possible for our students. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Mrs. C
