HIM professionals are often responsible for the management of processes in relation to state and federal laws, as well as being a leader to enforce them. The concepts of leadership and management is somewhat of a controversial issue. Some believe the concepts are very much the same, while others think they are completely different. Leadership is often thought of as an influential force. For instance, one who possess the ability to change organizational culture, create opportunities, and inspire. Management, on the other hand, enforces the change. Some would say that leadership is doing the right thing and management is doing things right. What do you think of this statement?
