I would like you to write about the parenting styles between American Culture and the Western African cultures especially that of Sierra Leone.
Why is this area of development important to examine? What are the consequences for child development?
What role does culture play in this area of development?
What cultural theoretical framework are you using to guide your paper?
Why is it important to include culture when trying to understand this area of development?
What are the different ways that culture can influence this area of child development?
What are the general findings from your literature review? * See tip 5 below.
What are some directions for future research based on the limitations of past studies? These can be theoretical or methodological limitations. How can future research shed some more light on our understanding of this topic?
Some tips for writing your paper:
The paper must be in APA format (e.g., title page, abstract, running head, references, 1-inch margins, 12-point Times New Roman Font, double-spaced, etc.)
Make sure to check the APA manual. Also see: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_style_introduction.html
Make sure to define all terminology and provide appropriate citations for your definitions. No short forms/abbreviations e.g., shouldnt, didnt, cant
Make sure that at least 2 of your references are empirical research articles. Note that you will need more than 2 references to write a well-researched paper, but the rest may be other forms (e.g., chapters, books). NO DISSERTATIONS.
The minimum 2 research articles, and previous research and literature should be used to support your points. That is, your paper should not be a summary of one article after another, but you should have points that are supported by references to specific, relevant articles.
Remember to cite all your sources adequately and appropriately using APA style.
