Market Research Findings Report
Traditional Method (Survey for OSU graduate students, ages 22-35)
? describe the overall findings of the market research. Organize the
descriiption by methodology (traditional method followed by the nontraditional method)
o Use clear subheading labeling (Ex: Survey for OSU female students living off
campus; Ex: Storytelling from young professionals, age 25-35 living in the Short
North)
? Your market research findings report should include the following:
o Descriiption of when the market research took place. How long did it last?
o How many participants make up the sample?
? Consider breaking down market research participants in terms of gender,
age, race, etc.
o Information about the sampling method (ex: Process of getting people to
participate, incentives, distribution of market research methods, etc.).
? Report the general trends as well as expected and/or surprising findings.
? Provide meaningful interpretation of market research results by explaining the relevance
to the client. In other words, what do the results mean?
? Be sure to specifically focus on the key publics when conducting the market research. It
is counterproductive to not research groups that are particularly important to the
campaign.
