Your final paper should include all of the following:
A brief examination of your sexual portfolio, especially as it relates to the behavior in which you
plan to engage
A brief discussion of why you chose the behavior
A description of how you went about engaging in the behavior
A description of your feelings, thoughts, impressions about the experience
Potential considerations: Was it what you expected? How did you feel about it? Would
you do it again? How has this changed/not changed your views?
A discussion of how this experience and your reactions to the experience did or did not fit with
material covered in class. You should include several tie-ins to class, as this demonstrates to me
the degree to which you understand the material we have covered in class and can put your owr
experiences in context with psychological research.
These can include combinations of factual discussions (e.g, the book said this but I found
out this) and theoretical discussions (e.g., this fits with social learning theory because I
assumed this from my friends but my experience was different).
You must have at least one reference from a peer-reviewed journal. This reference must
NOT have been covered in class, meaning you need to do research on your own on some
aspect of your experience. This must also be a reference that is not included in your
Becoming a Sexpert assignment.
Grading: This assignment is worth 22 points. The assignment will be graded on whether it includes all
the required components and shows an ability to thing holistically and critically about your experience
as it pertains to what you have learned this semester. My recommendation is to write authentically
and honestly about your experience and your impressions. There is no page minimum or maximum
it should be as long as it needs to be to include all the required information
