I also used Google Maps, so I could get better fidelity on what the urban setting and road networks looked like. Marudi is beween Miri and Brunei. Bekenu is just south of Miri along the coast. Similajau is further south along the coast (north of Bintulu). Kudat is on the northwestern peninsula of Borneo. Lawas is just east of Bandar Seri Begawan. And the Riau Islands are the large island archipelago northwest of Kuching.
