You are being asked to write an analysis of an article that is concerned with assessment of children with special needs. . The directions will be discussed in details in class. The paper must have the following sections: 3 bulleted key points of two sentences each, a summary that is between 500-700 words, Implications for classroom teachers (300=500 words), and a personal reflection that connects with your life outside the classroom in terms of some aspects of the article (300-500 words). Proper essay writing is expected. All of the titles listed here must be on the paper with your writing below each heading. This format meets the expectation for this project. It is expected that you write at least three in paragraph citations in this paper and use them by explanation and relevance. Suggested topics of chosen articles include: response to intervention, curriculum-based assessment, computer-based assessment, the assessment parts of NCLB and IDEA, assessment for learning, standardized vs. criterion-referenced tests, and intelligence testing. Please feel free to discuss other topics during allotted class discussion time.
