Once you have accepted the assignment I will provide a full list of sources you may choose from in order to complete the paper. Remember: Historiography essays make an argument about the way historians have approached a particular issue or topic. They do not make direct arguments about the specific historical moments or settings on which the authors are writing. The essay has a clear introduction that explains the topic and why it matters to a general audience. 2. The introduction ends with a clear thesis statement, which is an argument ABOUT the secondary literature. 3. The body paragraphs have topic sentences that make a claim and support the thesis. 4. The evidence in each body paragraph is relevant and supports the topic sentence. 5. The paper is at least 3,000 words long
