To whom it may concern,
The papers instructions are given as a pdf file below. Please adhere to all of them precisely, including the formatting standards.
I would like you to choose a poem by Phillis Wheatley.
The papers structure should be as follows: introduction, literary analysis of the chosen poem, a discussion of how the poems content relates to the African American experience in the United States (Ive attached my class notes to help you grasp the courses content), a discussion of how the poem reflects the lived experience of the author (e.g. It should come as no surprise that the authors life typifies African American life), and conclusion.
Between paragraphs, there is no requirement for headings; they should flow naturally and be connected by transition sentences with each paragraph being approximately the same length.
There should be a thesis statement that does NOT state what the paper will accomplish (AVOID this essay will do this or I will analyze this), but rather establishes a connection between the structure of the chosen poem and the experience of African Americans and the poet (e.g. how unique her experience as slave was that would lead her to adopt a certain tone in the poem and speak about African American life).
The syntax and language should be persuasive and powerful.
Additionally, Id like to request that you create an outline and send it to me prior to beginning to write the paper. Kindly notify me if that is possible.
Thank you in advance!
