Your summary paper will
be your own original summary of George Orwells Politics and the English Language, written in your own words,
be developed from your initial discussion post and review of your peers posts. Feel free to take a draft to the writing center in the bridge of DPAC, if it is open.
be 400 words long (meaning, in the range of 350-450 words),
follow MLA style. Be sure to
occasionally quote your source. For a short summary, no more than two or three short sentences, not blocks of paragraphs.
use inline citations following those quotations as instructed in class.
include a Works Cited section at the end of your paper.
set up your paper following the sample MLA style paper in the Seagull Reader.
be double spaced from the top line with your name on it all the way to the last line of your last works cited entry,
use Times New Roman, 12 point font,
use 1? margins on both sides and at the top and bottom of your papers.
