This request is for a native speaker sho had experienced writing a profession literature review for a dissertation in linguistic field
The first chapter of the literature review will be about Learners Experiences of Study Abroad 1st section will be about Development of Study Abroad Research which is one of the main headings, Mainly about how the field of linguistics has developed. I need to track the field from the past when it was very general concentration to very specific. Starting from 1980s and 990s “From the very traditional way of focus on linguistic development to the social turn which trays to understand the social experiences of study abroad (SA) from the learners perspectives ( how do they experience SA, is it good experience or bad, successful or not and why?); In another words, learners attitudes. This will allow to build up to the idea that there are different personal factors that influence SA. Originally, the traditional focus of SA research was on linguistic development. The focus was on general skills (Reading- Writing- listening). Then, Much greater focus on specific components of language ( Socio linguistic competence- Fluency- Vocab etc)The work of Barbra 1995 (Green Book) about more specific areas of linguistic development. Also, Studies in 1980s lots of linguistic oriented studies.
Famous authors in this field:
Barbara Freed (1995)
Firth and Wagner 1997 and 2007
Celeste Kinginger she has lots of studies; you can find them in her profile. One of them is Social Cultural aspects of Language Learning in SA
Jane Jackson
