The reflective model has 6 stages: a) Description, b) Feelings, c) Evaluation, d) analysis, e) conclusion, and f) action plan. Each step informs the next. ) can look similar and/or repetitive, but they are important to reflection on individually. The remaining five steps contain description statements, value statements (good or bad), summation statements, or justification statements (why something was done).
Writing your paper based on Gibbs’ reflective cycle will a) challenge your assumptions, b) explore different/new ideas and approaches, c) promote self-improvement by identifying strengths and weaknesses, including actions to address them, d) to link practice and theory by observing actions and applying knowledge.
Directions
Paper should be 2-3 pages in length, typed, double-spaced and in 12-point Times New Roman font with one-inch margins.
Include your first and last name, date, and course number in the upper right hand corner.
Add the following title centered at the top of the page: “Part 2: Analyzing Your Career Vision within Your Internship Experience”
Save document as follows: Last Name First Name Internship Analysis Month Year. Example: “Smith Joe Internship Analysis October 25 2018.doc”
