WEEK 9 DQ #1 Develop a Treatment plan and Interventions (1 Point)
Clearly established a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plan that is patient appropriate. The student’s treatment plan includes operationally defined goals that are readily attainable and assessed at regular intervals. Develop the treatment plan according to the DSM 5 diagnosis that will become the basis for the treatment you will provide this patient according to your therapeutic orientation. For each “symptom” listed develop a treatment goal. There are many “Treatment Planner” resources available for assistance.
Next, from each treatment goal develop a list of at least 2 treatment interventions that you would utilize for each of the listed symptoms/goals for treatment. This are to be measurable.
The treatment plan is to include specific techniques and interventions for the approach that you have chosen to use with this patient for each session working towards discharge planning and
Referral sources (for example if using REBT identify specifics to REBT that you will use with the patient).
Make a summary statement that incorporates the client’s unique history, current problems and personality style and applies the theoretical model and/or the empirically validated approach to the actual data of the client’s life in a highly individualized manner. Next, articulate one alternative, appropriate and distinct theoretical approach or other empirically validated procedure(s) to the case with a sound depth of understanding and appropriateness
to the client’s situation.
Make a statement carefully considering legal implications of case, boundary issues, maintaining respect for client confidentiality and commitment to high professional standards.
Provide comprehensive recommendations for discharge from your services (Aftercare Plan) that are timely transitional/reintegrative services and detailed referrals that are consistent with established plans.
