INSTRUCTIONS
(1) The name of your uploaded file must end in either .ppt or .pptx (both extensions identify Powerpoint files.)
(2) The file should be at least 10 slides long and contains at least the same amount of content as the example posted here.
(3) The content should be in Spanish and reflect your current level of proficiency. You are definitely capable of writing simple but complete sentences (that is, sentences containing at least a verb) about your topic. For instance, Madrid es la capital de España.
(4) Use words (not figures) to express numbers from 1 to 100, as in cuarenta y cinco.
(5) Use a variety of verbs (for instance, do not use ser all the time.)
(6) Be careful with your spelling. By default, Spanish does not capitalize words describing nationalities, languages, religious affiliation, days of the week, or months (cubano, español, católico, lunes, agosto, etc.). An exception would be official titles of courses like Español 2311, or names of festivities or historical events, as in plaza Doce de Octubre.
(7) To guide your audience, the top of each slide must contain a header (for example, the header Películas makes sense on a slide that includes a list of an actors movies.)
(8) To make your Powerpoint file more appealing, you may insert some audio(visual) materials, such as pictures, and/or YouTube links to video clips. Relevant video clips, and audio files in English are fine (remember: the rest of the information must be in Spanish.)
(9) The slides should have contrasting colors to facilitate legibility. Also, in the interests of legibility, please do not pack your slides with a lot of information.
(10) The SHSU Honor Code requires that any written work submitted for a grade be your own work. To avoid plagiarism (that is, using someone elses work without acknowledging it), the last slide must include the header Obras consultadas or Fuentes consultadas, and list the references that you used to complete the assignment. Avoid copying whole phrases verbatim from these sources. Use your own words instead, and then acknowledge your sources at the end.
