his is an optional Extra Credit Assignment. All students are encouraged to do this assignment.
GOAL: The goal of this assignment is to create a portfolio of the materials for this course. This is something you can do for all of your courses. When the course is complete, you will have a record of the work you did for the course, and you will be able to go back and use the course materials in the future.
This is particularly useful for a course like this, as you will be learning about college resources, about career planning, about learning styles and study techniques, and so on.
OPTIONS:
You can create a portfolio in one of two ways: (1) use a binder to collect your printed course materials, or (2) create an online portfolio using the portfolio feature in Blackboard.
1. To create a portfolio using a binder:
Obtain a 3-ring one-inch or larger binder.
As you complete an assignment, save a copy in your binder. You could wait for the graded assignment to be returned to you from your instructor.
Consider printing out useful campus information to include in your binder.
Consider printing out quiz questions and/or Study Guides for the chapters from the text.
