You are expected to choose a behaviour that you would like to modify. The behaviour can be real or made up; however, it will likely be easier for you if you use a real behaviour. You will need to include a rationale for modifying the behaviour, collect (or makeup) baseline and intervention data, and develop an intervention plan. You need to complete the following:
Intro
1. Describe the case, who is the client (maybe you) what has been happening, why is an intervention needed (the rationale)? You must include at least 2 academic references to support the need for intervention. For example, what is the literature out there that suggests that university students need at least 8 hours of sleep?
Assessment and Data Collection
2. Assess the function of the behaviour describe how you did this and what you found
3. Describe how you measured baseline data, who measured it, and how they were trained to do so, include at least 2 academic articles that show that others have used this type of data collection in similar circumstances.
4. Include a clear and precise operational definition of the target behaviour(s)
Intervention
5. Describe the intervention: what are you going to put into place to modify the behaviour, as well as a clear rationale as to why you chose this intervention support the use of this intervention with at least 2 academics articles that show this intervention has been successful in similar situations.
6. Are there any ethical considerations you need to make with this intervention?
7. Describe how the individual(s) implementing the intervention were trained
8. Include intervention data, and explain how it went, was the plan successful? Do you need to re-assess or make changes to the intervention?
Implications
9. Discuss why this behavioural intervention was necessary was it interfering with the clients functioning, was there heath related concerns etc.?
10. Discuss why you chose the intervention you chose and how the successful intervention would benefit the client, as well as other stakeholders (e.g., the family, friends, community etc.)
