Please view this weeks guest lecture video before starting your work on this discussion board. After listening to my conversation with Michael Sullivan, choose the decade/time period from that conversation that you found most interesting.
Then, please find a musical example from the time period youve selected that youd like to share in your discussion post. It does not have to have a Tacoma connection any music of any genre from the time period in question is fine. The only restriction is that it cannot be one of the three videos I provided in the reflection assignment for this week.
In your discussion post, please:
Identify which decade/time period you chose, and why it was the most interesting to you
Embed the video youve found to represent music from that time period
Discuss the music youre sharing: who is/are the musicians, what is the genre/style of the music, why is it indicative of the time period, why did you pick this particular example?
Requirements :
Provide an example to support your post. Often, this may be a link to a musical performance (audio or video). Sometimes, it may be a website or an article citation.
Think outside the box. Even though youre addressing a specific question each week, try also to think about links between different assignments and different experiences in this class or even outside of class!
