Question One- Compulsory

Question One- Compulsory

Protests occur to make a claim or to express a complaint to promote or resist a social change that happens in a society. For example, in September 2019, there was a protest on global climate change due to climate change concerns by individuals. The strike involved over 4 million people globally. The changes in climate had affected the lives of people hence had to protest against it. Most protests use music with the same themes as the theme in the events. Protests organizers need to be aware of the songs used in the event, and either approve or disapprove them.

Protest music describes the content and the effect a subject has had on a population. It informs on the purpose of the protest or complain (Heilbronner, 2016). The message informs the participants and the target party on the claim made and what should happen to reduce the effects felt by the audience. The music should have the right information for the audience to understand. Therefore, protest event organizers should plan for musical activities and ensure it has the right theme for the event.

Also, music sang by all the participants shows a form of solidarity from the people throughout the world. For instance, in the climate change protest, music was used to get people to join and express their claims in one voice. It may also foster social cohesion and identity, just as it worked for the students in the climate change protest (Weij & Berkers, 2017). Music was used to identify the protestants as they air their views in the streets. The organizers of the protest events need to be aware of the musical activities to ensure it serves the purpose and supports the subject.

Question Two- Importance of policy domain, level, and influencers

Policy domains are the components of an event organized around critical issues affecting people. Since the organizers make the arrangements based on the subject of the activity, the policy domain is essential to ensure it sticks to the theme. For example, in 2019, scientists developed artificial Neurons to fight diseases in humans. To organize such an event, the organizers need to understand the principles or actions developed and accepted by the law and society. Evaluating the public domain help organizers to improve programs and assess the impacts before they affect the event when it happens (Nordvall & Brown, 2018).

Policy levels ensure that organizers plan for an event to the extent of acceptable policies, and depending on the subject. The standard is vital to foresee the number of people to attend an event and plan for them. A particular quality of preparation must be used for different occasions. For example, in 2018, the royal wedding event took a lot of time to prepare. The event organizers had to understands the policy levels to ensure it is up to the standard required by the state and family (“Prince Harry and Meghan married at Windsor,” 2018). The wedding depicted the future of the royal family.

Policy influencers have a positive impact by analyzing and changing some prospects of an event as organized. They also create more partnerships to make any occasion better — influencers advice organizers on the best actions to take, depending on the type of event to organize. For example, the B2C savage marketing, which took place in the Netherlands, involved many policy influencers in its organization (“Savage Marketing 2019”, 2019). Understanding policy influencers give the organizers an open mind to accept new ideas suggested.
